Menstrual health and hygiene is a matter of Human Rights. Menstruating women deserve easy access to equitable and eco-sustainable menstrual products. Our eco-sustainability focused menstrual movement advocates for systemic change to ensure equity and eco-sustainability in menstrual health and hygiene practices.
Menstrual education combats period poverty and social stigma. We empower grassroots activists, social workers, and women with training and resources to find suitable ways to address the issue of period poverty in their communities. We intend to provide adequate tools to young activists to learn how to best serve those experiencing period poverty through eco-sustainable means.
The ecoperiod™ Project makes eco-sustainable menstrual products available for free to women from marginalised and economically backward communities. We believe that distributing such products to grassroots activists and organisations has a big impact on addressing period poverty at local levels, where there is a direct interaction between the activists/organisations and those in need.
Our mission is to establish an ecoperiod™ Advocacy Network of women advocates at the grassroots level, with representation in all 800 districts of India.
